Black Pepper Spaghetti is a typical Hong Kong Cantonese dish that’s normally served at every Cha Chaan Teng (茶餐廳) in Hong Kong, traditionally it is spaghetti stir fried with black pepper sauce and beef, here we substitute the beef with king oyster mushrooms, and we also show how to make black pepper sauce from scratch. Black pepper sauce is often used in Hong Kong Cantonese cuisine and also commonly used to as the sauce to pour over steaks, we have tried to have it with seitan steaks, it was great😋

  • 350 g Spaghetti
  • 4 tbsp Black Pepper Sauce
  • 4 King Oyster Mushrooms
  • 4 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Vegan Oyster Sauce
  • 1 Onion medium-sized
  • 2 Carrots medium-sized
  • 200 g Fresh Pepper
  • Oil
